A dormant company still has to file

All registered companies are required by SARS to submit ITR14 and IRP6 returns even with no income and no trading activity. Failing to file leads to penalties and a non-compliant tax status, which is what blocks your tax clearance certificate the day you need it for a tender.

How it fits together

One team, one view of your compliance

Bookkeeping feeds your VAT, PAYE and UIF calculations. Those feed your IRP6 and ITR14 submissions. Those determine whether your tax clearance comes through. When one provider handles the chain, the numbers agree and nothing falls between the gaps.

We keep income, expenses, salaries and deductions accurate month to month, so the returns are a formality rather than an annual scramble, and an audit is something you can answer rather than something you dread.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to submit tax returns if my company is not trading?

Yes. All registered companies are required by SARS to submit ITR14 (annual income tax) and IRP6 (provisional tax) returns, even with no income or active trading. Failing to do so leads to penalties and a non-compliant tax status.

What is the difference between IRP6 and ITR14?

The IRP6 is a provisional tax return submitted during the tax year to pay tax in advance. The ITR14 is the final annual income tax return. Together they keep a company fully compliant.

What is included in monthly bookkeeping?

From R390 per month: recording all income, expenses and financial transactions. That is what makes accurate tax submissions, correct VAT, PAYE and UIF calculations, and audit readiness possible.

Do you handle payroll and employee taxes?

Yes. From R120 per month, covering employee salaries and payslips and the deduction and submission of PAYE, UIF and SDL to SARS and the Department of Labour.

Can you assist with VAT registration?

Yes. VAT registration is R3,500, and we manage ongoing VAT return submissions with compliance oversight to help you avoid SARS penalties.

Do you provide services for international trade?

Yes. We prepare and lodge import and export licences through SARS Customs, for R3,000.

How do I protect my brand name or logo?

A trademark registration for R3,500 secures the legal rights to your business name, slogan or logo within South Africa. Note that registering a company name at CIPC does not do this.
